➤ Cause: Disrupted Transportation After Disaster · Difficult Travel in Remote Areas
Earlier this year, Hualien was severely affected by a typhoon and heavy rainfall, which caused the overflow of the Mataian landslide-dammed lake. As a result, daily transportation for some residents was significantly disrupted.
To assist in the restoration of transportation in affected areas, Guokai Steel and Weijin Metal jointly responded to the local call for support by donating electric bicycles, enabling residents to safely commute between home and work.

Facing the challenges of post-disaster reconstruction and geographic limitations, the team took “Mobility is Care” as the core value, integrating resource coordination, delivery, and on-site assistance.

The electric bicycles have been delivered through the Hualien Diocese's Dama Parish to affected community members, helping to resolve transportation issues in remote areas.
